Sequestering Agents: Novaquest 6010, Quest, Quest DBSA, HEDP,
EDTA, DTPA, Polyquest-700, Polyquest-1200, Quest-WS.
Sequestering agents are
products that are essentially used in controlling metal
impurities in various media such as water and in many processes
such as in manufacture of paper, textiles, leather, soaps and
detergents etc.
The hardness of water is basically due to the presence of
minerals like calcium & magnesium salts. The role of the
sequestering agent is to inactivate these metal ions. In the
bargain the water regains its original properties as soft water
and can be used freely in any of the processes it needs to be
used without the side effects of the contaminant metal ions in
solution.
Besides softening of water, sequestering agents are also very
helpful in controlling heavy metal ions like iron, lead and
other impurities from contaminating various chemical
formulations and processes.

Quest-DBSA:
An excellent sequestering agent which is good for
controlling iron and calcium, good anti-redepositing agent
for soils in the scouring bath & unfixed dyes in the dye
bath, good soaping off agent in the washing off stage.
Enhances brightness and whiteness of bleached substrate.
Improves colour yield, better colour value & better depth in
the shade, helping savings of dye, besides giving better
